Hoy es el último día que escribimos el diario. Mañana es jueves 10 de abril y el concurso termina a las 15.00 horas pero resulta que es el Día del Centro y no vamos a poder trabajar con los ordenadores. Es una pena porque hay mucha más gente que quería escribir en el diario pero no va a haber tiempo suficiente.
Today is the last day to write our diary. Tomorrow is Thursday, April 10th, and the contest ends at 15:00 but it is the Day Centre and we will not be able to work with computers. It's a pity because there are many more people who want to write in the diary but they will not have enough time.
Como es el último día, queremos hablar de todo un poco. Hemos empezado muy bien al principio y también en el final del proyecto. No nos hemos cansado nada y nos gustaría seguir trabajando así.
As it's the last day, we want to talk a little of everything. We started very well at the beginning and at the end of the project. We have not get tired and we would like to continue working in this way.
Hemos aprendido muchas cosas. Pero sobre todo a trabajar en equipo.
We have learned many things, but above all teamwork.
Hemos hecho trabajos en plástica: broches de color azul y amarillo con la forma de las estrellas de la bandera.

También tuvimos que ponernos de acuerdo para hacer una estrella con nuestros cuerpos. Parece fácil, pero tuvimos algunos problemas porque hablábamos mucho y no escuchábamos las instrucciones. Es muy importante escuchar y no preguntar hasta el final y no hacer lo que quiere cada uno.
We also had to agree to make a star with our bodies. It sounds easy, but we had some problems because we talked a lot and we didn't listen to the instructions. It is very important to listen and not to ask till the end and not to do what everyone wants.
También hemos hecho un
vídeo que está en el blog y en el YouTube. Parece muy fácil, pero tuvimos que trabajar en Música la partitura del "Himno de Europa" con la profe y aprenderla de memoria. Los carteles que aparecen tienen los nombres de los 28 países con sus capitales, idioma y moneda. Y para eso en Sociales estuvimos buscando todos los datos y en inglés vimos un poco de cómo empezó la Unión Europea y la traducción para los carteles. ¡Nos olvidábamos! La profe buscó cómo decir hola en muchos idiomas y lo leímos en alto. Además, como nosotros no somos todos españoles, algunos nacimos en Marruecos, os quisimos saludar en el idioma que hablamos en casa.
We also made a video that is on the blog and on YouTube. It seems very easy, but we had to work on the score of Music "Anthem of Europe" with the teacher and memorize it. The posters have the names of the 28 countries with their capitals, language and currency. And for that we were looking all data in our History class and in the English lesson we saw a bit of how the European Union started and the translation for posters. We forgot! The teacher looked it up how to say hello in many languages and we read it aloud. As we are not all Spaniards, some were born in Morocco, we wanted to say hello in the language we speak at home.
Para el trabajo plástico tuvimos que buscar información sobre los instrumentos que se tocan en cada país. La profesora nos buscó los dibujos en internet y los copiamos en la goma eva para recortarlos. También hicimos muchas estrellas para el círculo y los broches. Si os fijáis bien, lo que hay en el centro del círculo son unos 70 broches que hicimos con las estrellas.
For the art work we had to find information about the instruments that are played in each country. The teacher looked up the pictures on the internet and copy them in the EVA rubber to cut them. We also did many stars to the circle and pins. If you look good, what's in the center of the circle is about 70 star pins we made.
El cartel fue lo más fácil. Pensamos un texto muy fácil en inglés. Siempre con el to be porque lo sabemos usar muy bien y escribimos unas frases muy bonitas sobre lo que es Europa para nosotros. Todos recortamos las letras. Por eso no todas son iguales pero eso queda bonito porque está hecho por todos.
The poster was the easiest task. We thought a very easy English text. Always with "to be" with because we know how to use it very well and we wrote some nice sentences about what Europe is for us. All we cut the letters. So not all are equal but that is nice because it is made by all.
El siete de abril Houda, Jamaa y yo fuimos a la radio y lo
pasamos un poco nerviosas.
On April 7th, Houda, Jamaa and I went to the radio and were a little nervous.
Lo que nos ha parecido más fácil es buscar una planta y un animal que estuviese en toda la Unión Europea y hacer un esquema con un dibujo y dibujar las banderas de cada país y su instrumento musical. A mí me tocó el instrumento que se llama violín, y los países que me tocaron se llaman: La República Checa y los Países Bajos.
What we have found it is easier isto find a plant and an animal that was in the entire European Union and to sketch a drawing and draw the flags of each country and its musical instrument. I had to draw an instrument called 'violin' and countries are called: The Czech Republic and the Netherlands.
Todos los diarios que hemos escrito los hemos preparado nosotros y nos los ha corregido la profe de lengua. Los hemos escrito en español y nos los ha traducido Mirian, otra profe, al inglés. Nosotros no podemos decir todo esto en inglés, pero queremos que lo pueda entender gente que sí lo habla.
All the diaries we have written have been created by us and corrected by our Language teacher. We have wietten them in Spanish and Mirian, another teacher, has translated them into English. We can not say this in English but we want English-speaking people to read it.
Bueno, mañana es el último día y sólo vamos a subir un texto de despedida que hemos preparado y una foto de la actividad que vamos a hacer sobre el Día de Europa en el Día del Centro.
Well, tomorrow is the last day and we will just upload a farewell text we have prepared and a photo of the activity that we will do on the Day of Europe in the Day Centre.
